A supportive and inclusive community of growth, connection, and belonging

EFB is more than a school, it’s a community. We take it to heart to be very family-oriented, to work and learn together, from each other, to strengthen our bond as a community. This enables us to create a warm, welcoming and nurturing learning environment for our children, in class and beyond.

Our Vision

Our educational vision is to nurture confident, curious, and fulfilled learners who develop a lifelong enjoyment of learning. We encourage intellectual independence, creativity, and thoughtful engagement with the world. We cultivate open minded, responsible, and compassionate individuals who value cooperation and critical thinking.

Alongside academic growth, students develop resilience, empathy, and a strong sense of responsibility. We prepare learners to thrive in a multilingual and multicultural world enriched by diverse perspectives. Together, we inspire young people to embrace change as an opportunity for growth and discovery.

Involvement

We encourage family involvement in education, fostering strong, open relationships that connect home and school. Collaboration guides our teaching, ensuring families have a voice in their children’s learning journey.

Diversity

Through our curriculum and programs, we are committed to opening children’s minds to the world around them, and to creating a culture that is diverse and inclusive. We encourage our students to enjoy the full potential of being exposed to multiple cultures and languages.

Multiculturalism

The multiplicity of cultures, languages or socio-economic backgrounds of our families provide constant learning opportunities for each student. Through this exposure, students learn to understand, respect, and celebrate each other.

To our EFB Parents . . .

We believe that teachers and parents should work in unison. Family involvement has been shown to improve student achievement. Parents are regularly invited to speak in class. We also invite families to serve on a school committee (board of directors, fundraising, event or after-school committees).

Throughout the year, we organize family-focused events, such as apple picking, dance parties, and farm outings so that families have an opportunity to socialize outside the school grounds. The school also invites families in for a School Breakfast a few times each year. This is a really enjoyable moment for families, teachers, and children to come together, and a great way to start the day!

Each year, the school receives support from parents who are fully engaged in different projects. We thank them for the way they enrich our school community every day.
